Program areas at American Maine-Anjou Association

The American Maine-Anjou Association maintains cattle registration and transfer records in order to track and verify the pedigree and lineage information which is necessary to maintain, improve and promote the Maine-Anjou breed. Approximately 16,800 transactions are processed annually.
The American junior Maine-Anjou is a department within the American Maine-Anjou Association dedicated to the youth. It strives to impart leadership and management skills in animal management specific to the Maine-Anjou breed. Promotion of service-oriented skills and team work concepts are also emphasized. Current membership is approximately 2,700.
Voice Maine-Anjou is the official publication of the American Maine-Anjou Association. The magazine is published bi-monthly and has a circulation of approximately 2,450. Informational articles on a variety of animal management topics are covered in each publication. In addition to the bi-monthly publication, special reports are produced dealing with more specific issues such as the annual sire statistical report.
