Program areas at American Planning Association - 17 Georgia Chapter
The Emerging Planners of Georgia (EPG) provides a forum for networking, learning new skills, and above all, having fun. Our programming is specifically tailored to entry-level professionals with 0-8 years of experience. EPG hosts educational, social, and volunteer events for chapter members. We offer a consistent programming slate of book clubs, panel discussions, conference events, and more to support planners early in their careers.
The goal of the GPA Mentor Program is to successfully build teams of emerging professionals, mid-career planners, and mentors for guidance and support while offering mentors the opportunity to strengthen ties with future leaders of the planning profession and APA. Participants benefit from leadership development, professional development, career advice, and networking.
The GPA is comprised of 1,000-plus members made up of professional planners and planning officials who serve communities throughout Georgia through policy advocacy, promoting equity and inclusion in the planning profession, and offering mentoring and educational opportunities to existing and incoming members.
