Program areas at American Postal Workers Union - 257 Central Ny Area Local
The local union maintains a union hall to provide a place for members to attend meetings, attend union initiated social functions as well as a place to hold their own private functions.
Publishing a local newsletter to keep members informed as to the issues affecting hours, wages and working conditions.

Union officers attend conferences/conventions to increase the knowledge of the collective bargaining unit. General meetings are held in different areas of the local to ensure that all members have a chance to attend and be heard.
Travel expenses for conventions and conferences which included airfare, lodging and perdiems are incurred. Local travel by officers and employees is necessary to conduct businees in fulfilling their duties to the general membership.
