American Property Owners Alliance

Advocacy communications - through its social media accounts and website, general media communications, grassroots mobilization, grants to organizations with similar policy objectives, and event sponsorship the American Property Owners Alliance (apoa) works to raise awareness of the issues affecting america's Property Owners. Apoa continued its event series focused on black homeownership and generational wealth creation convening in charlotte, nc; cleveland, oh; and montgomery, al and featuring experts and policy makers. Apoa engaged through the courts, joining an amicus brief in the successful challenge to home equity theft in the case, tyler v. hennepin county, which the united states supreme court decided 9-0 in favor of the home owner. Apoa increased its earned media presence by (continued on schedule o) securing placements for op/eds written by the executive director in a number of publications throughout the year. Apoa continued the expansion of its social media footprint and exceeded all goals for growth and consumer engagement.
