National conformation show, national futurity and jr showmanship events were held april 15 to april 20 2024 at the purina farms event center gray summit, mo; there were 573 dogs entered in conformation. The herding was held at rottiewe farms wright city, mo with 83 dogs entered. Agility, obedience and rally were held at rottiewe farms. Agility had 199 dogs entered, obedience had 69 dogs entered and rally had 85 dogs entered. Total dogs entered was 1016. These events attracted roughly 1,000 people. All events were open to the public. National education symposium-various topics of interest. Jr showmanship clinic which is open to younger people. Judge study group-open to dog judges. Show handler clinic and national health clinic were open to all. Film library, publications, bulletin board, breeder referral, mentoring program, judges education, website and historical committees. Groups making breed specific education and reference material available all continued operating. Rescue-health research, educational grant. Standing groups related to animal health, welfare and education. Awards-standing groups recognizing accomplishments of individual American Shetland sheepdogs.
