Program areas at ASTA
Meetings and conventions asta holds an asta global convention annual meeting and trade show which offers education programs for all sellers of Travel. The trade show provides networking opportunities for all sellers of Travel and the Travel suppliers. The meeting drawsapproximately 1,000 attendees. As usual in 2023, the organization held premium business summit and a legislative day.
Destination education - asta provides international destination training to help Travel Advisors attract business and increase sales. These courses are offered at various events throughout the year, including asta's destination expo. Courses highlighting specific regions are brought together at an annual meeting within that region. The courses draw anywhere from 50 to 500 participants a year.
Travel industry support asta provides Travel Advisors with vital information needed to manage their business. Asta keeps Travel Advisors informed of industry standards and issues, provides market research, and communicates changes affecting Travel Advisors. Asta works with various governmental agencies including department of transportation and tsa to promote the interests of the industry and the travelling public. Asta supports daily industry updates through asta Travel advisor daily which is available at no cost to the Travel industry and travelling public. Asta introduced the verified Travel advisor certification program in 2017. This certification program offers members a higher level of verifiable professional knowledge to the advanced seller of Travel.
