"TRACKING THE TRIAL LAWYERS" WEBSITE WAS CREATED TO SHOW THE LITIGATION FEES OF PLAINTIFFS' LAWYERS THAT ARE REINVESTED IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS AND TO ILLUMINATE THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROCESS, AS PLAINTIFFS' LAWYERS ROUTINELY SHIELD THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO WILL ALLOW MORE LITIGATION FROM PUBLIC SCRUTINY IN VARIOUS WAYS. THE SITE IS UPDATED QUARTERLY. THE RELATED "FOLLOW THE MONEY" PROJECT IS AN ONLINE DATABASE DISCLOSING POLITICAL GIVING OF PLAINTIFFS' LAWYERS TO STATE-LEVEL, CONGRESSIONAL, AND PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES. IN ADDITION TO ITS WEB PROGRAM, ATRF SUPPORTS AND CONVENES CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS THAT ADVANCE UNDERSTANDING OF THE CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND WORK TO IMPROVE THE BALANCE, PREDICTABILITY, AND OVERALL FAIRNESS OF THE SYSTEM. ATRF ALSO PERIODICALLY PUBLISHES ORIGINAL RESEARCH AND FILES AMICUS BRIEFS ON THE CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM. The "Judicial Hellholes" project serves to increase public awareness of jurisdictions where equal justice under the law is denied to parties involved in lawsuits.
