Program areas at AUC

Academic degree programs to The ma, msc, and phd levels: The official academic enrollment figures for fy 2023 are taken on The first day of The fall semester. The total academic enrollment was 7,213 with 5,755 undergraduate students, 1,147 master's degree students, and 78 phd students. During fy 2023, 987 students completed undergraduate degree programs, 8 completed doctorate degrees, and 222 completed master's degree programs.
Research and other sponsored activity programs: The office of sponsored programs reports that auc received grants and awards in The aggregate amount of $212,103,863 from outside sponsors during fy 2023 in support of research, training and public service projects. This includes 101 sponsored projects averaging over $2,100,038 per project. in addition to The many and varied faculty research projects, The University conducts research projects through a number of 12 research centers.
Adult and continuing education programs: during fy 2023, programs in The school of continuing education enrolled a total of 25,537 students. The school of business executive education (formerly The management center and The international executive education institute) enrolled a total of 3,430 students. The engineering services program enrolled a total of 10,000 students.
Other program servicesauxiliary enterprises (auc book store, press, transportation, and student housing): The auc press publishes annually up to 35 wide-ranging academic texts and general interest books on ancient and modern egypt and The middle east, as well as arabic literature in translation, for distribution worldwide, and maintains a backlist of more than 935 high-quality scholarly, literary, and general interest publications, including e-books. Through its bookstores and distributors in egypt and abroad, The auc press sells more than 101,000 books in fy2023 and licenses foreign editions of arab writers in 40 languages, including The works of The late egyptian nobel laureate naguib mahfouz, and international bestseller alaa al aswany. The student housing facilities accomodate auc students in two different locationsl zamalek and new Cairo campus housing. During fy 2023, auc student resident facilities accomodated (657) students.
