American Veterans Service Dog Academy was founded with the core mission of reducing suicide numbers amongst veterans diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) through education and training. The academy provides training and boarding services to 18 Veterans and their Service and emotional support dogs. Further, they have partnered with Kankakee Community College to take their Service Dog program into the college. The academy has already graduated 8 certified Service dogs.

Avsda has patnered with kankakee community college and have taken our Service Dog program into the college. Currently working on instituting a 2 year associate degree program in human-animal relationships.
