Program areas at American Water Works Association Rocky Mountain Section
The Rocky Mountain Section conducts an annual conference in the fall of each year in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association. The annual conference brings together water professionals and industry exhibitors for three days of knowledge sharing and information exchange on current and emerging topics in the water industry.
The Rocky Mountain Section serves as a local delivery system for grants received by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and for education programs sponsored by the AWWA. The section assists the AWWA in the administration, marketing, promotion and instruction of training and educational opportunities offered throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Committees of the Rocky Mountain Section conduct training and education for members and for various categories of the workforce. The training and educational opportunities focus on dispersing information and advancing knowledge of the design, construction, operation and management of waterworks to improve water service to the public.
