Alliance for impact- launched during 2022, our reimagined Alliance is an independent "by us, for us" practitioners' community that brings the most inspiring youth-supporting organizations across the country together to strengthen individual organizations, to launch new collaborations, and to build powerful coalitions in pursuit of systemic change. Each member organization enrolls up to five senior leaders in our Alliance community and all leaders have access to leadership cohorts, strategic support, knowledge sharing and capacity building programming, the opportunity to design national research, and the opportunity to join systemic change coalitions. Our programming is designed to be responsive to what our member organizations say they want and need and intentionally leverages the wisdom and expertise that already lives in our member organizations and leaders. We focus on our most important shared priorities, we learn from each other, and we design together. Last year we launched the reimagined Alliance community with 50 founding member organizations and rolled out programming focused on organizational improvement to support over 200 leaders in our community.
Anti-racist Alliance- in 2020, America's promise Alliance made a commitment to work with youth-supporting organizations and young people to address institutional and systemic racism within our organizations and the broader field. the anti-racist Alliance is a group of 14 youth-supporting organizations that have been actively working together since 2020 to make this commitment a reality. the anti-racist Alliance has established four work groups to analyze what we as organizations can do to stop perpetuating racism and structures that include white supremacy in key areas: organizational culture & norms, policy & advocacy, organizational practices & programming, and research. Our working groups seek to provide actionable strategies and resources to support a more affirming, equitable, and anti-racist path forward. We are a mix of organizations that have already made leading-edge strategic investments in this work and have much to contribute to the sector, while others have more recently been examining their practices and considering changes in their approaches. This work will culminate in public commitments to action that our organizations will take to embrace anti-racist policies and practices that lead to better environments and outcomes for Youth.
the power of Youth challenge is a youth-designed grant program, offered by America's promise Alliance, that provides funding for youth-led service projects across the u.s. to date, we have awarded more than 500 grants to young people. Now in its 4th year, the power of Youth challenge provides young people ages 13-19 with a leadership development and service opportunity to identify and address a need in their community and beyond.
