Program areas at Among Friends Activity Center
Since debuting in 2003, Among Friends has been providing a safe and friendly place for adults with additional needs and disabilities for fun, learning, and friendships. Among Friends breaks that cycle of isolation that a vast majority of adults with developmental disabilities experience. We offer a wide variety of activities, social events, and life-skills building programs. Many adults with developmental disabilities are not afforded the luxury of choice in their day-to-day, but at Among Friends, independent decision-making and self-advocacy is highly encouraged. At its core Among Friends is about inclusion, empowerment, and friendship.
