Anchors Away Program promotes independence for persons with disabilities through emphasizing conservation and education. The program has recently taken on the task of tagging fish for the department of natural resources. In all, Anchors Away completed 11 trips that included persons with disabilities, families and volunteers. During a recent fishing outing, approximately 36 people with disabilities and their families were served. These outings provide an opportunity for families to do something together.
