Program areas at Angels Against Abuse

The angel awareness event is an educational event to raise awareness of child Abuse for children who have been abused or negkected, or at risk of removal into the child welfare system. This event is held annually in st. petersburg, Florida and the funds raised are a direct benefit to the children and families we advocate 24/7. Thoughout the year, the needs of abused children are provided for both emergency and non-emergency situations. This includes items from children from zero to 18 like uniforms, school supplies, tablets, learning devices, food, bus passes, gas cards, infant needs, gift cards for supplies and food when removed, school activities, and most recently partnering with one of our community partners for a pilot program called the first five program which targets children during the first five years of their development and working with the teachers and families to keep these children out of the system
Angel visitation center-everything about the physical, emotional, and philosophocal atmosphere at the angel visitation center is purposeful. The way the light fills the room, the art on the walls, and the friendlines you feel when you walk through the door, makes you glad you are here. It is all part of the positive experience that we want our visitors, especially our children to feel. The Angels believe that everyone deserves beauty, respect, and the opportunity to interact in a safe and happy place. Given the proper environment, every child can grow the seed of personal genius that is buried inside of them. By providing encouragement, opportunity, and resources, we strive to keep the visitation center positive and uplifting for all who visit.
