Armenia's arts library. The program aims to jumpstart armenia's first arts public library encompassing books on performing and visual arts. Public arts education is important because it builds bridges across cultures, contributes to developing the creative economy in armenia, and gives citizens tools to engage with the modern world. Currently armenia's libraries have been neglected since the fall of the soviet union.the program is organized by phases. The initial phase in which anmf will participate will (a) collect arts books from the armenian diaspora, foreign embassies in armenia, and other art related foundations regionally and internationally. (b) establish a cataloguing system for the library by hiring a librarian in order to catalog all the received books (c) engage an art curator/director to develop initial public programming and a plan for the library's development. As in the past, the anm foundation does not intend to sustain the program in the long term, but rather intends t
Armenian malinois project. The program aims to jumpstart a dog kennel for belgian malinois dogs to produce service dogs for (a) search & rescue (b) public safety (c) youth education & support. Currently armenia does not have any such programs for service dogs. The program is organized by phases. The initial phase will (a) breed belgian malinois dogs in armenia (b) imprint/socialize puppies and donate them to search & rescue and public safety agencies. The anm foundation does not intend to sustain the program in the long term, but rather intends to develop the startup phase of the kennel along with the process for breeding & training the puppies. The program in year 2 or 3 will establish a separate non profit in armenia and be spun off seeking its own funding and sustainability methods.
Urban and contemporary arts print collection - is a work in progress towards building an urban and contemporary art collection of prints in urban, pop and street art genre that will eventually serve as a small permanent art display in the future art library space, allowing the arts library audience the opportunity to experience a genre of contemporary art that is currently not represented in any other museums or art venues in armenia. Assembling the collection is expected to take at least 5 years.
The invested securities are structured to satisfy long-term rate-of-return objectives. The foundation relies on a total return strategy in which investment returns are achieved through both capital appreciation (realized and unrealized) and current yield (interest and dividends). The foundation's spending policy is to disburse funds available to meet the current program needs of the foundation.
