Program areas at Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire
Adoption: this program involves the placement of more than 784 homeless animals throughout the year and offers life time post-adoption support. Arlnh also helps countless pets be able to stay in their loving homes through behavioral and medical guidance provided by staff.
Outreach: handling (including Animal intake) or community complaints of Animal cruelty, neglect, or hoarding which come into the arlnh from citizens, police departments and other town officials. In addition, this program handles the safe haven program (pets of individuals temporarily displaced by domestic violence), spayapalooza (public spay/neuter for low-income individuals), and administration.
Animal care and sheltering: the everyday operations of the arlnh involve the intake, medical evaluation, and treatment of homeless animals that come to the shelter as strays, transports from other shelters, or owner surrendered pets. This includes comprehensive veterinary services, follow up treatment, in shelter recuperative care, foster care as needed, behavioral assessment, as well as the overall daily care, feeding, grooming and socialization of these animals.
