Another Perspective

In alignment with the mission of Another Perspective, the sjf fishing tournament was designed to encourage recreation and conservation in one of the most successful catch-and-release fisheries in north carolina:the bull red drum fishery of the pamlico sound. In its fifth year, attendance exceeded expectations. The event was attended by over 3,000 participants, and the tournament hosted an estimated 968 anglers, an estimated 22% of whom were children. The organization was able to host artists and musicians from local and regional venues to bring cultural awareness to communities.

In fy22, the organization purchased handicap-accessible mats and surfboards for disabled youth. Another Perspective continued to support the adaptive surf project of wilmington, nc to construct and donate a handicap-accessible surfboard for children in the carteret and new hanover county areas to participate in surf lessons.
