Staff completed and submitted a conservation implementation strategy to the natural resource conservation service (nrcs) that will bring upland fuel load treatments to landowners in the upper Applegate in the fall of 2024 and 2025. We also submitted grant applications for community wildlife protection plans (cwpp) that will include updating the Applegate community in jackson and josephine counties community wildfire protection plan. All of this work will complement blm and usfs fuels reduction work in the upper Applegate watershed.
