The Arc of Greater Cleveland offers programs to help families get the support that they need to ensure quality of life for their family member with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The organization helps families navigate public and private sector service systems and provides individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities the support and guidance to become their own advocates the organization's partners in policymaking program is a leadership training program for adults with disabilities and the parents of young children with disabilities the program is designed to provide knowledge about issues and policies related to disabilities and to help participants become more effective in influencing policy development at all levels. The organization presents a healthy lifestyles program which consists of a ten week prepared program for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. The program includes modules related to nutrition, the importance of friends physical activity, illness prevention, personal values, goal setting and other health topics. The program provides a hands-on learning experience aimed at improving the quality of life and health of individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities

The Arc of Greater Cleveland believes self-advocacy is essential in improving the quality of life for all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The group is open to all individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in cuyahoga county. The goals of people first of cuyahoga county is to teach our communities about people with disabilities and to obtain community support in advocating for the supports people need to live work and be a part of the community.
