Areyvut remains passionately committed to engaging others in the core jewish values of chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam.highlights from our 2022-2023 fiscal year include: the publication and dissemination of our 20 year impact report that highlights our programs and illustrates our reach and impact. Better together, a unique intergenerational program that had 20 students from six area schools that met regularly with residents at a local nursing home facility. Offering family experiences are holidays and vacations including a new year's day program that had various hands on projects that benefited local and israel based organizations. Presenting on best practices in fundraising for a jewish teen philanthropy group which fell under both our tailored programming and chesed capacity building, two of our three areas of focus. Continuing to create content designed to help the adults in kids and teens lives including parents, educators and grandparents create meaningful and memorable experiences. Building on our past success once again working with summer interns throughout the summer and teaching them about the non-profit world while giving them real, genuine and meaningful experiences that benefit them and not just their resumes. Family volunteer experiences during the nine days, a time that commemorates the destruction of the temple in jerusalem and that afforded families an opportunity to volunteer together and parents to discuss their values with their children.
Our ongoing programs including a family education program for early childhood, a national mitzvah day, and hands-on projects that are all geared towards teaching others and getting them involved in giving back.
The goal of the a kindness a day calendar is to actively encourage people to incorporate kindness into their daily routine and life while simultaneously connecting to jewish text and tradition. This program reaches 25,000 individuals.
