Program areas at Arizona Creditor Bar Association
As part of the opposition to prop 209, the acba met with outside interest groups in order to garner support for the opposition. We hired first strategic, a consulting, marketing and advertisement firm, who in turn createdadvertisements opposing 209.acba members met with chambers of commerce in tucson and phoenix, as well as trade organizations, the goldwater institute, car dealers, car dealer associations, mortgage lenders, healthcare lobbies, bankruptcy practitioners, bankruptcy trustees, and anyone who had an interest in lending in the state, all for the purpose of putting together a coalition to oppose 209 initiative.the acba is involved in the court challenge to proposition 209. Acba filed suit in july of 2022 and has spent $125k in 2022 in legal fees challenging the constitutionality of prop 209.
