Program areas at Arizona School Boards Association
Asba serves School Boards, School districts, and public charter schools and their board members. We continued to train School board members, deliver policy services to our member Boards, School administrators, and advocated for our members and public education generally. For training, asba staff conducted or facilitated approximately 10 major conferences and over 100 training/meetings in order to inform, educate, and better prepare these board members to do their jobs and serve their students. Our policy services program provided model policy updates, periodic policy reviews and responded to requests for information on policy implementation and application from our subscribers. Asba continues to be at the forefront in advocacy/promotion of public education in Arizona through media outreach, legal intervention on issues of statewide importance and active representation among governmental entities at all levels of governance. The public at large is either directly or indirectly the beneficiary of much of these efforts. Asba sponsors an insurance trust (asbait), which provides competitive and affordable health insurance to member districts.
