Program areas at Arkansas Policy Foundation
Twenty (20) research memos were distributed in 2023. The memos examined Policy areas such as citizenship, the u.s. and Arkansas economies, education, and fiscal Policy. Topics included (citizenship) civil society; (economy) the expanding u. s. economy, coincident ecomomic indicators, economic expansions and state revenue surpluses, income growth, population growth, total nonfarm payroll employment growth, private sector payroll growth (education) reading scores, literacy rates, education savings accounts, school choice market, educational markets in Arkansas regions; (fiscal Policy) regulatory sandboxes, income taxes, state income tax rates, collection recovery, and state revenue surpluses. The Foundation distributes its research via its website (www.arkansaspolicyfoundation.org) and the u. s. mail. The Foundation distributes its research free of charge. The Foundation has distributed dictionaries to Arkansas k-12 students since 2005. The Foundation participates with civic and community groups. The Foundation also sponsors public forums. Admission is free. The Foundation co-sponsored a forum on literacy in 2023 in lee county in Arkansas' delta region. Forum participants included community leaders, service club members, and public school educators. The Foundation is an educational organization that seeks to foster citizenship among arkansans. The Foundation's governing board includes an accountant, banker, economist, Foundation executive, investment professional, retired Foundation executive, retired public school administrator, and three businessmen. Visibility: news media cited the Foundation's research in 2023. The Foundation's website includes a visibility feature that lists media citations. These included the Arkansas democrat-gazette, northwest Arkansas democrat-gazette, Arkansas business, talk business and times-herald. Media are based in all Arkansas regions.
