Food pantry / market operation: distributed nutritious and culturally appropriate food to Arlington, ma residents in need. The market, a food pantry, provided 14,034 in-person shopping visits during the year. A home delivery service provided 2,727 home deliveries to about 103 families. The vacation & summer lunch programs provided 1) six weeks of grocery support to 121 families in july and august, 2022, 2) grocery support to 56 families during february, 2023 school vacation, and 3) grocery support to 73 families during the april, 2023 school vacation. Snack program: a-eats provided 43,690 snacks to Arlington students during the 2022-2023 school year. The emergency food closets were continued at three locations during the year and three new food closets were added at the Arlington community center, cusack terrace, and winslow tower. Partnership program - due to the increased need within the community and with other organizations able to serve certain Arlington and other area residents more efficiently, the organization provided 61,703 of funds for the purpose of food security. Farmer's market voucher program: in june, 2021, a-eats started a new program providing vouchers for use at the Arlington farmer's market to purchase from local farmers. In fiscal year 2023, a-eats accepted overall administration and operation of the farmer's market. A-eats market guests, known to serve 1,017 unduplicated families, were given 14,724 vouchers leading to the purchase of 73,620 of food from the farmer's market.
