Program areas at Arts Connect International
Cultural equity incubator (cei) is a collective action shared workspace designed by and for Arts and culture leaders committed to intersectional racial equity and creative justice. The cei is a paradigm shift in creative collaboration, space making, resource sharing and community care. The initiative launched in june 2021, and will be in pilot until the end of 2023 at the midway artist studios in fort point.
Consult with aci - aci runs a fee for service consulting practice that focuses on intersectional anti-oppression services. This includes but is not limited to workshops, diagnostics, strategic planning, leadership shifts, board design and tailored training. Over the past fiscal year we have engaged over 10 clients.
Cultural equity learning community (celc) is an online learning community open to Arts and culture leaders committed to building intersectional racial equity in the sector. The celc includes a go at your own pace two- unit course with complimentary wrap-around supports. Celc was originally launched in 2020, and celc 2.0 was launched in the summer of 2022, with 500+ Arts and culture leaders currently enrolled in the course.
Diversity in Arts leadership (dial) boston is a 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience with equity-focused Arts and culture organizations. This program runs concurrently with organizations based in new york city, new jersey, nashville, boston, sarasota, and raleigh as "hub" dial cities affiliated with americans for the Arts. The transformative research collective (trc) is a collective of artists, academics and community members who generate research by and for community, grounded in practice and lived experience, as part of building collective liberation. In the past year the trc published two articles in the american journal of Arts management and the journal of Arts management, law and society. Arts equity summit (aes) is a national convening of Arts and culture leaders committed to intersectional racial equity. 2021-2022 was a building year as we revisioned what convening continues to look like with ongoing pandemics. We are looking to have our next convening in the fall of 2023.
