Arts Corps revolutionizes arts education by igniting the creative power of young people through culturally engaging learning experiences. Teaching artists partner with classroom teachers to develop and implement project-based lessons in 10 Seattle and Highline schools for arts integration (creative schools). Arts Corps also provides arts education to youth aged 13-18 in partnership with Seattle Public Schools Interagency Alternative High School and offers extracurricular programming with art kits included.

Program areas at Arts Corps

Teen Arts - Arts Corps provided Arts education to youth 13-18. Arts education for school credit was offered through a partnership with seattle public schools interagency alternative high school. Extracurricular programming was also offered. This program served approximately 260 students.
After school visual and performing Arts were offered at 9 elementary and middle schools in seattle and highline school districts with approximately 325 youth served for youth kindergarten through 8th grade.
Arts integration (creative schools) - Arts Corps worked with 10 schools in the seattle and highline school districts to provide integrated Arts learning. Teaching artists work in partnership with classroom teachers to develop and implement project-based lesson plans that integrate Arts with core subject areas while developing students' creative capacities. This program is designed to strengthen the learning environment and expand teacher capacity to engage students creatively. This program served approximately 1,800 students.
Elementary bsk - Arts Corps worked with four locations to offer 5 classes serving youth kindergarten through fifth grade. Approximately 288 youth were served.
