In 2022, Arts Council Northeast provided over 26 free masterworks concerts throughout the year with 3,740 in attendance. This program employs local and regional talent in addition to contributing to the local economy as people who attend the concerts frequently patronize local restaurants either before or after the concerts. Many attendees told our emcee how much they enjoyed, looked forward to and appreciated the concerts.
The art on wheels programs brings art to individuals who are unable to attend art classes outside their living environment. A total of 125 classes were held in 2022. The instructors provide step-by-step instructions and at the end of the class, the participants each have their own work of art that they created to keep and treasure.
The summer Arts college is a unique opportunity for children ages 6-16 to learn with some of the area's top artists. Students receive a taste of the performing and visual arts.students receive full or partial scholarships that are offered so no child will be turned away. In 2022 this program was postponed until the recovery from the economic impact of the covid-19 pandemic is complete.
