THE FILING ORGANIZATION IS A PART OF THE ASCENSION CATHOLIC HEALTH MINISTRY. ASCENSION IS A FAITH-BASED HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION THAT DELIVERS PERSONALIZED, COMPASSIONATE CARE TO ALL, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO NEED IT THE MOST. The Ascension St. John Auxiliary serves the Ascension St. John health ministtry by providing hospitality and compassionate care to our patients, guests, and associates at our hospitals in Tulsa, Owasso, Broken Arrow, and Sapulpa. This past fiscal year we hosted Junior Volunteer programs for 105 students at the medical center who are considering healthcare as a choice of profession. For 8 weeks during June and July this past summer, we had 60 of these students for an intensive program where they volunteered, shadowed, learned from guest presenters, and met with community partners. Because of our four hospital gift shops we were able to donate more than $80,000 towards our pledge for Telestroke and a scholarship of $2,000 to a graduating high school senior who volunteered more than 100 hours with our organization, and we helped support other programs in our health ministry like United Way, Holiday Angels, and the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
