Policy & advocacy:1) aaf advocated for and helped secure $30 million to fund 136 organizations across new york state, with approximately 40% of grantees located in long island and upstate new york.2) aaf organized two upstate convenings focused on the Asian immigrant community, bringing together over 80 elected leaders, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to address the most urgent needs of the community.3) aaf staff provided testimony at over 30 city and state hearings.hope against hate campaign:1) aaf's hope against hate campaign has trained over 2,737 community members across 100+ workshops in situational awareness, upstander intervention, and self-defense skills, in close partnership with our member and partner organizations.2) aaf's hope against hate partners have connected over 3,700 individuals to victim support services.3) aaf's safety booklets, videos, and resources have been distributed to over 50,000 americans.mental health:1) aaf expanded our Asian mental health directory to over 200 new york mental health providers, who, combined, speak over 17 Asian languages.2) more than 13,000 mental health and case management services were provided to support Asian americans in navigating their mental, emotional, and physical health.immigrant integration:1) aaf, along with five partner organizations, served over 240 immigrants through community education and engagement, providing in-language resources and information on aging populations, home lead safety, and covid-19 booster awareness across new york city's five boroughs.small business/economic empowerment:1) aaf completed a commercial district revitalization project targeting barton avenue in flushing, queens and successfully secured additional funding to implement neighborhood beautification projects in queens.2) as part of the commercial corridor revitalization project, aaf hosted 15 community events to support local businesses.civic engagement:1) aaf continued to lead the 10-member aapi power coalition, working in partnership to make over 300,000 contacts with Asian voters from diverse backgrounds through targeted campaigns, which included phone, text, and mail outreach, as well as in-person canvassing and print advertisements. Through new york civic engagement table's spoke campaigns, aaf and coalition members reached over 150,000 via text-banking alone.2) aaf created and disseminated a 2022 Asian primary voter guide postcard to 75,000 Asian new yorkers.3) aaf ran a social media campaign to disseminate information about the voter guide and through informational graphics in eight Asian languages.research1) aaf produced three in-depth reports, six briefs, and one case study to further our data-driven advocacy.
