Activate California & activate native Hawaiian and pacific islander (nhpi)- provides flexible general operating resources and capacity building support to organizing and base building organizations in California. We focus on community-based organizations serving historically under-resourced regions and populations. Our resources are designed to help catalyze development and sustainability as our partners work to become anchor base building organizations in their communities.
Gold Futures challenge - the gold Futures challenge is an online model for democratizing philanthropy that drives resources to Asian American and pacific islander (aapi) nonprofits and increases their visibility, with the aspiration to build unity among aapis and communities of color across the country.
Nhpi initiative - our native Hawaiian and pacific islander (nhpi) initiative builds off of aaf's existing relationships and grantmaking within nhpi communities to grow and strengthen nhpi nonprofit leadership by building nhpi community and narrative power.
Narrative lab - aaf's narrative lab advances aspirational narratives such as solidarity, pride and belonging to create a future where all aapis can thrive. We partner with grassroots organizations and launch our own campaigns to experiment with evidenced-backed programming that shifts people's mindsets at scale. We share insights with the field to help them activate a larger share of the aapi population in the united states.
Catalyst lab - the catalyst lab supports Asian American, native Hawaiian and pacific islander (aanhpi) organizations to shape public policy and narratives that strengthen local communities and transform systems.
Nextgen philanthropy/imagine initiative - the imagine initiative is a vibrant space for the next generation of Asian American donors and philanthropists to connect, learn, and deepen investment in the Asian American and pacific islander (aapi) organizations that are spearheading change. The imagine initiative offers creative programming and a community of peers to support next gen Asian American donors in identifying their values and vision, and inspire a long lasting commitment to aapi-focused philanthropy.
