Program areas at Asian Pacific Community in Action
1.health promotion, care coordination, health insurance enrollment program: outreached to 6,062 individuals in person and assisted 1,384 families in obtaining health insurances and navigating it. Sent out 1000 postcards to clients as part of the public health emergency unwinding campaign. Ran facebook and instagram reel and story ads from june 18-30 for the medicaid unwinding in vietnamese, marshallese, thai, hindi, khmer, english, tagalog, arabic, korean, chinese, and punjabi. 324,016 impressions, 3,682 clicks, 50,982 post engagements with these ads, and 50,982 interactions with our page because of these ads. Ran enrollment billboards resulting in 715,855 impressions for 4 weeks of 4 billboards. 2. Covid-19 vaccine outreach and education program: ran vaccine billboards resulting in 502,126 impressions reached for phoenix vaccine billboards. 121 people were vaccinated for covid-19. 55 people were vaccinated for the flu. The vaccinations were done at 13 different events. Created over 56 graphics in house providing vaccine education. Developed 4 vaccine outreach campaigns. Partnered with 18 different organizations which included facilities that hosted and invited us, partners that invited their communities, vaccine and screening and other health providers, countless others who amplify our work. Supported vaccine efforts in tucson in which 6 chws held 24 outreach and vaccine events and administered 93 vaccines and assisted them in a tucson billboard that received 1,255,297 impressions for 4 weeks of billboard. 3. Workforce development and training program: 5 chws were hired alongside a part time program coordinator, full time communications manager, and a part time project manager. 4 chws completed deep (diabetes) training, 2 chws completed diabetes training for Asian americans, 5 chws completed naloxone training, 2 chws completed Community mental health circle training, other trainings of note: bystander intervention : anti-asian hate and storytelling training. 6 chws were Community health worker certified by the state of Arizona. 4. Other programs to meet the health-related needs of Asian american, native Hawaiian, and Pacific islander (aa and nhpi) individuals and families residing in Arizona.
