Program areas at Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote
National Field Program - APIAVote's National Field program empowers grassroots organizations and young AAPIs to become dynamic, sustainable and effective organizers who embed a culture of civic engagement and build local power. We collaborate and invest in local organizations large and small as well as young student leaders, to engage with AAPI voters directly and effectively as the trusted messengers of their campuses and local communities.
Outreach - APIAVote empowers and supports its nationwide network of partner organizations through hosting or attending conferences, events and meetings to further our mission of empowering Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities to strengthen and sustain a culture of civic engagement. This also includes meetings with potential partners to educate them on being a part of APIAVote's vast network, as well as attending community events to further our relationship building in the AAPI nonprofit space. We also worked in coalition with more than 50 nonprofits, multicultural partners, influencers, celebrities, and community leaders to host the Unity March, a national effort to build a solidarity movement following the rise in violence against Asian Americans.
Strategic Communications - APIAVote's Strategic Communications program aims to shift the narrative surrounding AAPIs and raise awareness of their growing impact on society. We are also an information hub for AAPI voters, especially those in underserved communities to get educated on voting by providing translated materials and inclusive content that empowers them to engage in our democratic process.
