AWUM operates House of Peace shelter, which contains 24 beds and is staffed 24/7/365. Women receive comprehensive, customized advocacy services. Child & family advocates offer after school & evening programming to children of all ages. In addition, AWUM employs community advocates who are dispersed throughout the metro area, meeting with women in safe spaces to provide many forms of support, including accompaniment to court and information on acquiring resources. House of Peace provides a safe place to over 100 women and children annually. Community Advocates reach 500+ individuals annually.
