Program areas at Aspiro
Day services (including recreation) are designed to enhance communication, social development, skills in performing activities of daily living and community living, health, fitness, leisure-time, and well-being.
Production offers the work opportunities needed to provide quality prevocational services in our facilities. This is done through providing contract production, packaging, and sewing services for a number of local and national companies, as well as the federal government.
Employment services assists individuals with disabilities in obtaining and retaining employment with area businesses. There are two ways this can be accomplished: supported employment and job placement, both are in partnership with the Wisconsin department of workforce development - division of vocational rehabilitation (dvr). Project search is a program that assists with employment training for students with disabilities in their last year of school. Students are immersed in a business environment where they learn a variety of job skills and employability skills through classroom training. Group supported employment also assists individuals with disabilities in obtaining and retaining employment. Workers with disabilities are accompanied by an Aspiro staff member to a job site, and the staff member will provide job coaching, prompting, and cues if needed.
Other programs of the organization include prevocational services, early intervention and respite care.
