Program areas at Assistance League of Greater San Diego
Operation School Bell - Our flagship philanthropy provides school clothing, shoes, and backpacks to students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade. During the 2023-24 school year, OSB served over 8,000 students attending 160 schools across 6 school districts. OSB has a commitment to focus on students in the Migrant Education Program San Diego County Office of Education, Refugee students, Children and Youth in transition foster, homeless, and children from enlisted military families.
Community Support - Partners with 17 non-profit agencies and provided them with needed items for their clients. Volunteers shop and deliver requested items to each of the agencies. During 2023-24, this philanthropys budget exceeded 40,000, allowing them to serve over 2,700 individuals and families.
Sneakers for Military Preschoolers - Volunteers partner with STEP Support to Enlisted Personnel to distribute a variety of needed items to preschoolers of enlisted military families. During the 2023-24 fiscal year, this philanthropy served over 1,700 preschoolers.
