Program areas at Associated General Contractors of California
To promote relations between General Contractors and other members of the construction industry: reduce construction costs through research and cooperation with other construction agencies; reduce the occurrence of injuries and death to construction workmen; support Contractors and Contractors associations in efforts to rectify unsatisfactory conditions related to construction; encourage sound business methods tending to raise the standard of Contractors in General. Services are provided to about 1,000 construction related members.
To establish various standard contracts and to coordinate such contracts with each other so that the respective interest of owners, General Contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, and dealers may be properly protected.
Provide a method of maintaining favorable public relations and relations with other government agencies in negotiating for and entering into equitable agreements relating to hours, wages, and working conditions of construction workmen.
