Reach University, Oakland, CAThe ACE Learning Center supports, Reach University to provide a jobsite program focused on a Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP) for Computational Thinkers. This apprenticeship-based degree includes computer science and computational thinking and integrates this curriculum into subject areas including language arts and social sciences. Teachers enrolled in the classes at their worksite learn how to embed computational thinking and computer science concepts into their classroom teaching.
San Francisco International High School, San Francisco, CAThe ACE Learning Center supports immigrant students on their path to graduate from high school and mentor them through college. Rigorous college-prep curriculum is provided through an acceleration program. ACE Learning Center has expanded to include the Flexible-Schedule Continuing Education High School to support English language learners who cannot attend high school during regular school hours.
Oakland International High School, Oakland, CAThe ACE Learning Center offers regularly scheduled classes in English and technology skills for immigrant students and their families. It also supports students as they move to college and/or careers. These include classes offered at the OIHS campus; internships and training for careers requiring skillsets such as carpenters and electricians; community-based internship programs. The continuing education for teachers provides on-the-job professional development classes for OIHS teachers to improves their teaching skills.
