Awid membership (mce) members form a vibrant global feminist community and contribute to building collective power across movements, based on principles of global solidarity. With currently over 6000 members from over 180 countries, their members are part of a powerful base of feminist, Women's Rights, and gender justice defenders, activists, and allies, connecting, exchanging, learning, and acting together for transformative change.
Advancing universal Rights and justice (aurj) initiative aims to advance feminist agendas to challenge fundamentalist and fascist influence, to promote the universality and indivisibility of Rights, advance Women's Rights and feminist agendas, and to center gender justice. They produce knowledge to visualize the ways in which anti-rights actors are operating and colluding in global spaces. Equipped with this knowledge, they create space for feminist, Women's Rights and gender justice movements and allies to strategize and take collective action to counter the influence and impact of anti-rights actors and agendas. Their advocacy seeks to advance feminist, Women's Rights and gender justice frameworks, norms and proposals and to protect and promote the universality of Rights.
Resourcing feminist movements (rfm) initiative advocates for more and better resources from donors, while also supporting and strengthening movements organizing around the resources, they need to accomplish meaningful change. Through knowledge building and movement support, we contribute to shaping funding models that are movement responsive, and that in turn re-centers how we understand change towards approaches that utilize and harness the power of feminist movement-building knowledge.
