Our Association is a non-profit organization. The purposes of the Association are: 1 to promote professional development and interactions of its members. 2 to help its members in employment opportunities by providing information and support and 3 to promote interest and to enhance development of science and technology in the schools and community. Aces-nm accepts donations and membership dues to fund its causes. It does not invest for any financial gain purposes but for better services to its members and the community. In the year of 2022 the board of aces-nm decided to put $40000 in cd. The cd generated $519 interest this year. As tax exempt organization which does not require to pay federal income tax the filling system expresstaxexempt does not allow to exempt the tax$7 of $519 interest so we manipulated the system by simply added $519 interest revenue to part1 line 1 as the donation. The officers serve the Association on voluntary basis and don't get any pay.
