Program areas at Association of Christian Ministries To Internationals
Program Service Accomplishments: Program service accomplishments for FY 2017-2018 included executive administration of the network; ACMIs annual conference; travel, meetings and conferences. As an organization with one staff member serving hundreds of members, constituents and volunteers, the Executive Director plays a crucial role in operating the organization and its ministry offerings. This role includes executive leadership, constant communication with ACMIs Board and its committees, serving ACMI members, administrating online platforms to serve members including the ACMI Member Portal and its member E-List, ACMI Link, ISM deployment information and associated mapping software, and an organizational website. The directors role involves helping ISM practitioners make needed connections, online committee and prayer meetings, arranging and compensating contractors working on projects, networking, etc. The 2018 ACMI Annual Conference, Proclaiming Liberty to All Nations, was held at Eastern University outside of Philadelphia, PA with approximately 220 people in attendance. The conference consisted of five plenary sessions with accomplished guest speakers, over forty learning workshops, opportunities for developmental networking, focused meetings, etc. This years event included a focus on those serving in university international office contexts, as well as emphasis on strategic cities for ISM including particular cities along the I-95 corridor. A local team of approximately 10 volunteers largely implemented the conference, in cooperation with the ACMI office. Evaluation was collected from both conference attendees, as well as the local conference team and ACMI Board of Directors. As a collaborative and networking entity, travel and meetings are an important component. In particular, the Executive Directors role includes connecting with ISM leaders, ACMI members, and other constituents often via traveling away from the home office for various meetings and attending conferences. Events during the fiscal year included meetings with the annual conference planning team in PA; prayer gathering with national ISM directors in OH; engagement at the Lausanne ISM Global Leadership Forum in NC; an East-Asian returnee event in GA; an ACMI Board strategic planning session in CO; attendance at a conference middle-eastern student outreach in Texas; meetings with members, ISM leaders, current and former Board members, and current and prospective donors in Texas; meetings with members and ISM leaders in New York City; and the annual ACMI Board meeting in PA. Many of these trips involved large group meetings and on several occasions the Director spoke publicly, addressing over 300 ISM-engaged people in total.
