Program areas at AAVLD
An annual meeting is held once a year and is a major scientific event, which provides continuing education for 900+ professional members and student trainees, along with the opportunity for committees to meet and deliberate.
The aalvd accreditation program accredits over 60 public Veterinary diagnostic labs across the usa and canada, in compliance with expectations of the world organization for animal health. These public labs are at land grant universities and state departments of agriculture.
The journal of Veterinary diagnostic investigation is a professional scientific journal with international impact on the topic of animal health diagnostic medicine and Laboratory procedures. There are six issues per year, totaling approximately 1,200 pages of scientific studies.
Other programs include the Aavld Laboratory foundation, which provides student scholarships, residency programs, and research programs in diagnostic medicine.
