Program areas at AAVLD
Annual meeting: the meeting is held once a year and is our major scientific ce event, which provides continuing education for our 900+ professional members and student trainees. Our 25 committees meet and deliberate.
Aavld accreditation program: this program accredits over 60 public Veterinary diagnostic labs across the usa and canada in compliance with expectations of the world organization for animal health (iso guide 17025 application). These public labs are at land grant universities and state departments of agriculture.
Scientific publications: the journal of Veterinary diagnostic investigation (jvdi) is a professional journal with international impact on the topic of animal health diagnostic medicine and Laboratory procedures. There are six issues per year, totaling about 1200 pages of scientific studies.
All other programs: including Aavld Laboratory foundation which provided student scholarships, residency programs, and research programs in diagnostic medicine.
