Program areas at Atlanta Families Awards for Excellence in

Expand the Impact - All winners of the AFAEE are inducted into the Winners' Circle. Winners' Circle programming included events for WC members to collaborate and professionally grow together. This year we hosted, and the Winners' Circle designed, the Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers (ECET2) Atlanta conference.
Identify and Celebrate Top Performing Educators - AFAEE completed a successful application/nomination program including educators from five metro Atlanta school districts. We were able to identify seven outstanding educators to win our prestigious award, complete surprise announcements of their win during the last week of March, and celebrate their accomplishments during an Awards Day ceremony May 2018.
Empower Excellent Educators - Educators that receive the prestigious award are given a $7,500 grant to complete a student project $3,500), attend a professional development session of their choosing ($1,500) and an allotment to spend on personal use ($2,500). In addition, we provide small grant ($100) to all semi finalists as a thank you for being a part of the process.
