The Atlanta Land Trust works to create a favorable environment for CLT development by advocating for supportive long-term affordable housing policy and funding. ALT worked to draft legislation to be introduced at the state level providing nonprofit organizations property tax exemptions.
The Atlanta Land Trust strives to be a community-centered 'Trusted Partner' with a proven model and capacity to partner with communities. We worked to expand awareness and understanding of ALT and the community land trust model so that ALT will be recognized as the go-to organization for permanently affordable housing in Atlanta. In 2022 ALT hosted 11 monthly Community Information Sessions and attended over 100 community meetings. See further information on Schedule O
