The Atlantic City Sports Commission strategically solicits, creates and supports Sports related events and businesses that enhance Atlantic City's economy. The Commission maintains excellent relations with all of Atlantic county, new jersey's Sports facility management, hotels and casinos and meeting facilities. Prospective clients are provided a significant head start and substantially increase their odds of a successful event experience by assisting them with identification, cooperation and coordination with facilities in a variety of venues. Accomplishments for 2023: 3step - boardwalk block party/zgxl basketball/main event/zg state basketball/atlantic City showcase/jam fest/jam fest girls the Atlantic City Sports Commission continues to foster the relationship with 3step by hosting 6 of their events at the Atlantic City convention center in 2023. These events attract athletes from all over the country to compete in their volleyball and basketball tournaments. Our largest client to date, this group continues to grow and expand, garnering additional teams and utilizing more courts than ever before. Date- april/may/july economic impact: 29,857,723.76 room nights: 23,536 usat - national championships in 2023 the Atlantic City Sports Commission was successful in winning the bid to bring the usat national championships to Atlantic City in 2024. This particular event will be the largest single event that the Atlantic City Sports Commission will host, attracting more than 6,000 of the nation's best triathletes to our seaside destination. The national championships will be using bader field as their transition area, but will travel throughout our City and surrounding area as they compete for a spot on the olympic team. This star-studded event will host a variety of celebrities/athletes that will get to play alongside our partners here in Atlantic City.
