Futures,inc. Is committed to providing continued financial support to qualifying and individual volusia school district employed teachers through the awarding of mini-grants to their schools which are to be used for various classroom projects.
At various recognition events, Futures, Inc. Honors and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of district students and teachers. Student programs include tomorrow's leaders for high school juniors and the turn around program for middle and high school students. In addition, many staff recognition programs are in place, including new teacher pre-service events; principal of the year awards; superintendents's outstanding achievement awards; teacher of the year awards; and first year teacher awards.
Futures,inc. Is committed to developing programs that generate community support for the funding of scholarships for volusia county public school students in an effort to redirect their lives and enhance their career goals. It also is committed to the funding of school grants for projects relating to low performing students and improving literacy as well as teacher mini-grants for classroom/school projects. School district education foundation matching grant funding as well as community and corporate support are used to fund these programs. The student prepaid scholarships for take stock in children are purchased by the organization from the Florida prepaid college foundation through a combination of direct member, local business and community organization sources.
