Program areas at Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation
AIOF, AS A NEWLY FORMED NOT-FOR-PROFIT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION, IS FOCUSED ON ACCESSIBLE AND COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES. IN ADDITION TO THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT THE CANCER CLINICS, AIOF PLANS TO ADDRESS NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH: (1) COLLABORATIVE STRATEGY: With a focus on improving cancer outcomes, the Foundation's model is designed to leverage statewide resources, fostering collaboration among health care professionals and enhancing the continuum of care for Alaskans facing cancer. Through initiatives such as supporting the development of oncology workforce and providing resources to support the work of partners in the community, we can effectively begin to address the significant health disparities in the incidence and mortality rates of cancer in Alaska. (2) COMMUNITY SUPPORT: The Foundation extends its impact beyond treatment, supporting the broader cancer community through strategic giving. By investing in health initiatives and patient support programs, the Foundation reinforces a network of care that uplifts every individual affected by cancer in Alaska. Areas of focus include access to care through increased cancer prevention/awareness, early detection through screening, and direct patient support to address barriers to care.
