Description
Austin Chamber Music Center creates chamber music experiences that connect, educate, and inspire our community. ACMC provides fall, spring, and summer instructional programs with in-school coaching, the Academy, and the Workshop. Students receive chamber music coaching on selected repertoire. ACMC's 2021-22 concert season "Favorite Things" takes place between October 2021 and May 2022 and includes two Charlie Brown Christmas concerts. The goal of the season concerts is to present and produce the best in chamber music in a thematic way.

Program areas at Austin Chamber Music Center

ACMC's 2022-23 concert season, "Big Fish, Bigger Pond" took place between September 2022 and April 2023. The season also includes three Charlie Brown Christmas concerts. The goal of the season concerts is to present and produce the best in chamber music in a thematic, creative, and interactive fashion. In addition, ACMC's Summer Festival took place May 2023-August 2023 with a new format that stretched the Festival out over the entire summer featuring 8 concerts over four weekends.
ACMC's community outreach concerts include a fall and spring school concert tour, retirement home concerts, and free concerts in community centers.
ACMC's fall, spring, and summer instructional programs take place both in and out of schools from September through July through in-school coaching, the Academy, and the Workshop. Students received chamber music coaching on selected repertoire that was then performed at semester end recitals. Education programs also include the Coltman Competition which brings includes a competitive online application followed by 40 ensembles coming to Austin to compete across 4 divisions in March at UT's Butler School of Music.
