Authors in Moore Schools (AIMS) is a North Carolina-based literary nonprofit committed to improving children's literacy rates. AIMS hosts award-winning and bestselling authors in local schools and provides autographed free copies of the authors' books. In October 2023, author Christine Platt's book Frankie and Friends: Breaking News presented 250 books for 1st and 2nd graders at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School. In September 2023, author Carole Lindstrom's book Autumn Peltier Water Warrior presented 290 books to Piney Grove and Oxendine Elementary Schools.
