Program areas at AVID Center

Avid (advancement via individual determination) is a non-profit, college readiness system that helps to close the opportunity gap. Today, Avid is implemented in over 7,000 schools in 46 states and the district of columbia plus schools in canada and australia and for the department of defense around the world and impacts millions of students in grades pre-k-12. The organization's professional learning efforts, through which more than 50,000 educators are trained. Classroom teachers and school district leadership are more fully engaged in their teaching which is a proven means to impact student success so they may achieve in college, career and life.
Avid provides a series of professional development to district directors. District directors attend various sessions, designed to help them lead the Avid program in their district.
Avid Center conducts face to face and virtual trainings across the country to provide professional development training to Avid sites. The trainings are designed to ensure successful implementation of the Avid program.
Avid conducts virtual and face-to-face, two-day professional development path trainings.
